Iceland Innovation Week took place from April 27–30 and was an outstanding success. A large number of guests attended the week’s events, both those in the main program and the many side events held across the city — as well as an event in Hvammsvík. The atmosphere was lively, and attendees enjoyed a diverse program focused on education, networking, and inspiration for entrepreneurs and investors. This year, the main program was held at Austurbær.
Kría played an active role throughout the week and, among other things, organized the event “From Pitch to Investment – Who Gets a Yes and Why?” in collaboration with FKA – Félag kvenna í atvinnulífinu. The event brought together entrepreneurs and investors to discuss what matters most when investing in innovation and how founders can improve their chances of success.
Kría is a member of Framvís, which hosted the breakfast event The Breakfast Brief – Ask a VC Anything. There, entrepreneurs had the opportunity to meet investors, ask questions, and receive practical advice on fundraising and company building.
Finally, Kría, in collaboration with Nordic Ignite, hosted The Unicorn Hour, where entrepreneurs and investors came together for a colorful and entertaining gathering featuring games, networking, and a relaxed atmosphere.
We would like to extend our sincere congratulations to Melkorka Sigríður Magnúsdóttir and Edda Konráðsdóttir, the founders of Iceland Innovation Week, along with their colleagues, for an exceptionally successful week. We look forward to participating again next year. We also thank everyone who attended the events hosted by Kría.
The next Iceland Innovation Week will take place on April 27–28, 2027, and we look forward to seeing you there.
