
Sea Thru as been selected to participate in TINC, an international business accelerator for Nordic technology companies with global growth ambitions. Sea Thru is one of the companies that joined The New Business Venture Fund Kría through the Frumsjóður 2025 initiative. Unnur Verkbókhald was also selected for the accelerator, and the two companies are part of a select group of Nordic startups participating in the TINC Fall 2026 program. The two teams are regional companies supported through Drift EA, an innovation hub in Akureyri that supports entrepreneurial companies through investment and provides targeted assistance to help them grow and develop. The New Business Venture Fund Kría is a backer of Drift EA and supports the development and strengthening of innovation across Iceland’s regions.
TINC is a six-week business accelerator designed to help companies validate product-market fit, develop their business models and prepare for international growth. Participants work with experienced entrepreneurs, experts and investors while building relationships with potential customers and partners.
The program began with in-person working sessions in Oslo in September and continues with virtual sessions and mentoring throughout October. It concludes with an extensive program in Silicon Valley, United States, in November. There, participants will have the opportunity to experience one of the world’s leading innovation ecosystems, meet experts and investors, and work strategically towards entering international markets.
Sea Thru develops specialised data infrastructure for seafood traceability. Its solution connects data from different systems and transforms it into a clear and continuous traceability record, from origin to retail. The solution can reduce manual data collection, simplify reporting and help companies meet increasing requirements from customers, regulators and certification bodies.
KLAK – Icelandic Startups is TINC’s partner in Iceland, connecting Icelandic innovation companies with the accelerator and its international network.
TINC was developed by Innovation Norway and is run in collaboration with Vinnova, Business Finland and KLAK – Icelandic Startups. A total of 29 TINC accelerator programs have been held, with 278 Nordic technology companies taking part, including several companies in the portfolio of The New Business Venture Fund Kría.
