Icelandic Startups Invited to Apply for TINC Accelerator in Silicon Valley

Icelandic startups can now apply to join TINC (Tech Incubator), an international accelerator for Nordic technology companies run in collaboration between Innovation Norway and Nordic Innovation House.

The application deadline for the Autumn 2026  is 5th of August.

TINC is a six-week accelerator programme combining workshops, one-on-one mentoring, pitch coaching, and networking opportunities. The programme is designed to help startups validate their product or market, further develop their business model, and identify opportunities for international expansion. It is tailored for Nordic technology companies with global growth ambitions. Participants join a cohort of promising Nordic startups and work alongside experienced mentors from Silicon Valley, including experts in venture capital, sales, and marketing. You can read more about the TINC programme here.

Since its launch in 2012, TINC has welcomed numerous Icelandic startups, including two companies from The New Business Venture Fund Kría's portfolio: Humble and HorseDay.

Alumni consistently describe the programme as a unique opportunity to strengthen their companies, refine their vision, and build valuable connections within the global innovation ecosystem.

Arnar Geir Arnarson, CEO and Co-founder of Humble:

“The TINC accelerator was an incredible experience for our founding team. It gave us the opportunity to benchmark ourselves against international startups and experience Silicon Valley's startup culture firsthand—a dream for any entrepreneur. The mentors were outstanding and helped us sharpen our messaging, strategy, and pitch. We highly recommend TINC!”

Oddur Ólafsson, CEO and Co-founder of  HorseDay:

“Participating in TINC was an invaluable experience for us at HorseDay. We had the opportunity to work with exceptional mentors, build a strong international network, and gain invaluable insight into how global startups are built. We experienced the Silicon Valley mindset firsthand and saw how companies are developed in this unique environment. The experience broadened our perspective and opened doors to connections that have already proven extremely valuable.”

The Autumn 2026 programme begins with a kick-off event in Oslo on 22–23 September, followed by four weeks of online sessions. Participants then travel to Silicon Valley in November, where they gain direct access to leading experts, investors, and entrepreneurs. The participation fee is USD 17,500 per team, but the Icelandic Ministry of Culture, Innovation and Higher Education subsidises the fee by ISK 750,000 per team.

Don't forget: the application deadline is 5th of August.
