Keeps completes a 50 million ISK equity financing round

Guðrún Hildur Ragnarsdóttir, founder of Keeps, and Rannveig Grétarsdóttir, owner of Elding

The startup compnay Keeps completed a 50 million ISK funding round. According to Guðrún Hildur Ragnarsdóttir, founder and CEO of Keeps, it was truly a "women-led funding round," as most of the new investors are women.

Participants in the round included Valgerður Hrund Skúladóttir, founder of Sensa; Sigríður Olgeirsdóttir, board member of Hagar and Nova; and Rannveig Grétarsdóttir, owner and CEO of Elding. Guðlaug Erla Jóhannsdóttir, Anna Björk Bjarnadóttir, and Selma Árnadóttir also participated.

The New Business Venture Fund Kría also invested in the startup through a matching contribution. Keeps was founded in 2023, and Kría first invested in the company that same year through the Frumsjóður 2023 investment program.

“The objective of this funding is to support continued sales growth and product development, while also beginning development of the entertainment and activities component of the platform, which many customers have been waiting for,” says Guðrún Hildur.

She added that the company is currently developing a new social media tool that will be useful for, among others, restaurants and travel agencies.

We congratulate Guðrún and her team at Keeps on this successful funding round.
