Íris E. Gísladóttir and Mathieu Grettir Skúlason, founders ofEvolytes, are currently living in Paris with their two children, Eva (13) and Eric (4). Evolytes is a mathematics game that has been implemented in many Icelandic primary schools.
The founders are now expanding the game internationally, and as their largest growth markets are in India and South America, they decided to base themselves in Paris to simplify their frequent intercontinental travel and reduce time away from their children.
The television program Hvar er best að búa? (e. Where is the Best Place to Live?) explores the lives of Íris, Mathieu, and their family. Lóa Pind Aldísardóttir and cinematographer Ívar Kristján Ívarsson from Sýn visited the couple in Paris last autumn and again in December during a business trip to Chile, where Evolytes has been piloted for some time in a local school.
An article about the episode is available on Vísir and the episode itself can be streamed on Sýn+.
Evolytes was founded in 2017 and joined the portfolio of the Icelandic Venture Fund Kría in 2021.
