Hrönn Greipsdóttir, CEO of the Innovation Fund Kría, recently delivered a guest lecture in the course Innovation and Business Development in the MBA program at the University of Iceland, which is led by Dr. Ásta Dís Óladóttir.
Hrönn presented the fund’s investments in Icelandic innovation companies and discussed what it takes to convince investment committees: what matters most in a strong pitch, the common mistakes teams make, and how to avoid them. She also reviewed the important role of the Innovation Fund Kría in building and strengthening Icelandic industry through investments in startups, in line with government priorities.
Lively discussions followed on corporate governance, preparation for investment committees, and the fund’s initiative aimed at accelerating the formative stage of innovation companies and strengthening professionalism on their boards.
