Hönnunarþing was recently held in Húsavík. The festival provides a platform where design, innovation and community come together. This year’s theme was energy, with the programme exploring its various manifestations in design and innovation.
Valdimar Halldórsson, Investment Manager, attended Hönnunarþing on behalf of The New Business Venture Fund Kría. The festival featured a diverse range of talks and presentations and was very well received.
Mýsköpun, one of the Fund’s portfolio companies, presented its plans for microalgae production at the Þeistareykir geothermal power plant near Húsavík. The project is an exciting development with the potential to generate significant multiplier effects in the region in the coming years.
