The companies selected for the Icelandic Venture Fund Kría’s investment initiative at the end of last year attended a luncheon meeting at the fund today. The goal of the meeting was to foster connections among the companies in Frumsjóður 2025, gather feedback from NSK’s investment managers, and offer practical advice on engaging with investors.
In total, eleven companies are involved, and one of the conditions of the initiative is that participating companies secure at least an equivalent amount of funding from private investors. Jón Ingi Bergsteinsson, Chairman of IceBan, the Icelandic Business Angels Network, gave a talk on how companies can approach investors, which sparked a productive discussion.
Representatives of the companies were also given the opportunity to ask Ingvar Ásmundsson, a lawyer at Juris, various questions regarding contracts and key considerations in discussions with investors.
