Atmonia, one of the companies in the New Business Venture Fund Kría’s portfolio, was recently featured by AgFunderNews, an international news platform covering innovation and investment in agrifoodtech.
The article features an interview with Helga Dögg Flosadóttir, co-founder and CEO of Atmonia, discussing the technology the company has developed for green ammonia production and the next steps in its growth and development.
Atmonia is developing a scalable electrochemical system for producing ammonia using air, water and electricity without greenhouse gas emissions. Unlike conventional ammonia production, the technology eliminates the need to produce and store hydrogen.
The company has now demonstrated that its technology works, and the next step is to further develop and scale the solution. Atmonia aims to develop a production system housed in a 40-foot container, capable of producing approximately 150 tonnes of ammonia per year.
