Laila is responsible for marketing and promotion at the New Venture Fund. She has a diverse professional background and runs her own marketing agency, Laila slf. Through her agency, she has managed projects such as marketing campaigns for Kraftur – the Cancer Support Association, project management of the AWE innovation accelerator, operations and marketing for Ribsafari, a tourism company in Vestmannaeyjar, marketing and public relations at Mímir-Continuing Education, as well as website development for clients including Lambhagi, Héðinn, Protein Plant, Brautarholt Golf Club, and others.
She has also organized a wide variety of events, ranging from conferences to receptions, and has overseen the creation and copywriting of numerous marketing materials.
Laila holds a B.A. degree in Icelandic and German from the University of Iceland, an M.S. degree in Marketing and International Business from the University of Iceland, and an M.S. degree in Journalism from the London University of the Arts.
