Friðrik has a diverse professional background, having spent much of his career in executive management roles at companies such as IBM Iceland, Skrifstofuvélar Sund, and Skjárinn ehf. He has also worked extensively on corporate restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions, as well as general management consulting. In addition, Friðrik has served on various boards, including as Chairman of CCP hf. and Chairman of MATÍS ohf. He was also Chairman of the AVS Research Fund.
He authored an evaluation report on the Vaðlaheiðargöng tunnel project for the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs and is currently Chairman of Vaðlaheiðargöng hf. Friðrik holds a Cand. Oecon degree in Business Administration from the University of Iceland, an M.A. in Economics from Virginia Tech, and an MBA from the same university.
Friðrik is Chairman of Mentis Cura AS and Nordic Visual ehf., and he also serves on the boards of MedEye, PayAnalytics ehf., Ankeri Solutions ehf., Spectaflow ehf., and Expeda ehf. Additionally, he acts as the Fund’s liaison with Klappir Green Solutions hf., CRI hf., Auður 1, and Brú II.
