Tulipop Studios has signed agreements with the national broadcasters Rai in Italy and TF1 in France to air the Icelandic 52-episode animated series Tulipop Adventures.
These are highly respected broadcasters with dominant market positions in their regions, and producers believe the Icelandic Tulipop fantasy universe will soon become well known among children and families in Italy and France.
This was reported by vb.is, where more details on the agreement can be found.
The company Tulipop was founded in 2010 by Signý Kolbeinsdóttir and Helga Árnadóttir with the aim of creating a uniquely Icelandic fantasy world based on Signý’s illustrations. The series has now been dubbed into eight languages, including Polish, Norwegian, Finnish, Arabic, and French, and has already aired on YLE in Finland, MBC in the Middle East, Canal+ in Poland, Tele-Québec in Canada, Cartoonito in the UK, and Showmax in South Africa.
Tulipop has been part of the New Business Venture Fund’s portfolio since 2022.
