Tulipop play area opened at Keflavík Airport

A new children’s play area, inspired by the magical world of Tulipop, has opened at Keflavík Airport. The area is designed to make the airport a fun place for its youngest visitors, encouraging imagination and creativity through play. The play area is a collaboration between Tulipop and the design team ÞYKJÓ. Other contributors to the project include Krumma and Merking, as well as the workshops Irma and Fjöl.

The play zone is located by the Aðalstræti dining area, accessible from the second floor of the airport’s new east wing.

Grétar Már Garðarsson, Head of Airline and Marketing at Keflavík Airport, said:

“Opening this play area and bringing the magical Tulipop universe to our youngest guests at Keflavík Airport is one of the most enjoyable things we’ve done. We are constantly working to make the experience for all our visitors as good as possible, and we’re thrilled to now be able to welcome our youngest travelers and their parents in partnership with Tulipop. We hope the play area will make the wait before a flight more fun — and feel shorter — especially for the little ones who often find waiting the hardest.”

Helga Árnadóttir, CEO of Tulipop, added:

“It has been incredibly exciting to create a magical world for children at Keflavík Airport in collaboration with ÞYKJÓ. From the beginning, Tulipop’s mission has been to craft a world of wonder for younger generations and to share positive messages with both children and adults. We sincerely hope this comes through to the airport’s youngest visitors and that they will enjoy the play area for years to come.”
