KLAK – Icelandic Startups is a non-profit organisation owned by the University of Iceland, Reykjavík University, Skyggnir, The New Business Venture Fund Kría, and the Federation of Icelandic Industries, and has established itself as a key player in Iceland's innovation support ecosystem.

Hrönn Greipsdóttir, CEO of The New Business Venture Fund Kría, will continue to serve as Chair of the Board of KLAK – Icelandic Startups. The Vice Chair is Oddur Sturluson, Innovation Project Manager at the University of Iceland.

“KLAK – Icelandic Startups plays a key role in helping entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality, build sustainable value creation, and connect Icelandic startups with a strong network of experts and investors,” says Hrönn Greipsdóttir, Chair of the Board. “There is tremendous momentum within the new board, and we look forward to working together to further strengthen entrepreneurship and innovation in Iceland.”

With the appointment of the new board, the work of building a cohesive and robust innovation ecosystem continues — one where entrepreneurs have access to the support, knowledge, and networks needed to accelerate growth and increase their chances of success.
